Di Haggerty's presentation from the Natural Intelligence Farming Field Day put together by Nutrisoil, Jane Slatery & The Haggerty's

Natural intelligence farming can be described as Integrating nature’s intuitive wisdom and biodiversity with food, fibre & beverage production. Or in other words, rather than constantly dictating and trying to control nature, participating in nature's intricate systems with gratitude and awe. Natural Intelligence farming has been described by esteemed author Charles Massy as a world breakthrough regenerative farming operation.

The main takeaway I heard was Diane is grateful. That is so empowering.

Amazing story so interesting to see the vast improvement in soil, therefore vegetation and henceforth to human wellbeing. Congratulations Ian and Di. Those sheep look outstanding.

I find what they done and the results they got to be much more interesting than the science talk. To me the real world results they got and what they done to get it is more interesting than the talk about nitrogen and gut biom. And I'm glad they got good results and hope they keep getting good results. Seems like some small scale farmers are starting to get into Regenerative Farming here in the USA as well.

Thankyou, I grew up in the wheat belt of WA and this is a goal I have... To buy property on the great Eastern highway and transform it slowly to grow crops that aren't wheat or broad acre grains, and encourage biodiversity to return to the area.

15:00 there's been studies done on animals where they will put out conventionally grown foods and organic/natural farmed foods and they are usually picking the latter. Pretty amazing!

Your statement, while maybe not backed by specific science (yet!), has been replicated many times and carries so much more weight than we may realize now.

I'm sure we will find out just why you're inclination is so right, soon enough! Especially with microbial studies just absolutely taking off as of lately, between NASA studying them to grow with in space, to the average gardener using microbial inoculations.... it's happening more now than ever!

Absolutely awesome....this is regenerative practices that we first heard about in New Zealand in the late 1970s ....it's great to see this becoming a reality 👏 👍

Amazing, I might be using some facts from this video in my next video about regenerative agriculture. I’ll make sure to give you guys credit! Thanks so much for the upload.

For our U.S. friends the soil in the wheat belt can be quite sandy, so lots of fertilisers are usually used to gain a good crop, there are parts that have a red soil, but again its usually a poor soil, farming techniques have changed a lot in Western Australia, lots of farmers dont plough the land and most have stopped burning off the crop stubble, another issue with the soil is it can be highly hydrophobic. Its only just become Spring here and already the pass two days have been in the mid 30'sC ( 95F), Summer temps are in the mid to high 40's C. ( 110F to 120 F )

what a video! Non-farmer here. But how do the sheep know to do 'toileting' on the bare, compacted dirt?

Some people believe.

I do.

Fungi, bacteria, microbes, insects, birds, animals.

I only have 17 acres coastal Queensland.

The soil is improving after one season of cutting the grasses and weeds regularly.

Is it necessary to have so many adds? Seems I spent nearly as many minutes listening to them as the presentation. I listen to many videos on soil health and regenitive farming and the other folks seem to get by with much less

Hi, how many foliar aplication per cicle/year?

Until last year over production of wheat made a record low wheat planting. Hope your regenerative agriculture will keep the prices up. When Ukraine starts farming again, US Farmers will have to produce wheat below the cost to grow it.

FYI: Intelligent does NOT mean "smart"!
Intelligence is defined by Deitrich Bonheoffer's Theory of Stupidity.
Intelligent actions are those which benefit both the actor, and others.
Stupid actions are those which hurt both the actor and others.
Helpless actions are those which hurt the actor and benefit others.
Scummy actions are those which benefit themselves while harming others.

Now you know what intelligence truly is, and you have nothing to fear from AI - by definition!
