Here in TN this year so far has been difficult to keep motivated in the garden...I planted my seedlings on usual schedule but with the cold/rains in May, I tried up potting and the June heat and dry weather nearly killed them. Thank goodness I harvest rain water in 275gal totes otherwise my water bill would have been awful. In spite of pruning most of my herbs ended up bolting as well as onion. It seems I've spent all my time and energy so far battling the weather's impact. With the high humidity and heat insects are now out in force. I've decided to hold off on my fall garden by at least 3 weeks. Hopefully by then it will be enjoyable to get out in the garden early morning and tend to things in a more relaxed pace. I was blessed with a bumper potato crop - planted 1st of Mar in grow bags and kept them inside polytunnel. My melons are now coming along great as well. Time to plant green beans and sweet corn this week.

I have no idea what type I have but I start it 2/14 and I have started in soil blocks and this year small 6 packs. I up pot in 2-3 weeks and put them in the ground end-of March the size yours are in this video . I am harvesting first fruit mid April and I pick Sunday and Thursday all the way through mid to late November. I know they say they do not start fruiting till the Fall but both years I grew these it worked out like this. I am in Sarasota/Bradenton area in Florida. If you find yourself in the area I would be happy to show you.

😮Greg have u seen Jason's Blackberries????
Huge!!❤❤❤
I'd luv to make my Blackberry cornbread with them bad boys. No
Now that's a nice bowl of milk'n'bread for lunch.
I wish I had planted some okra this year. But I told ya I broke my leg the end of March...I couldn't get started when I wanted to.
Looking good.
If I was your neighbor you could pass a couple melons over the fence post😂😂😂😂

Laughed watching you toss the split tomatoes. I have 11 "volunteer " tomatoes in my garden from doing that last year. Fingers crossed some of them are Jersey breeze, Tommy toes, or Kellogs. My slicers are not doing well in this heat. Sadly a few of them look like the birds gifted us with cherry tomatoes. Do not need, and likely hybrid mystery tomatoes.

Do you thin your canteloupe plants/reduce the amount of fruit on the vines? I live in New England and grown probably 15 varieties and they're never sweet :(
