I love how you are just each others’ professional full time best friend, being silly and joking and hanging out while you work on projects and make videos.

I remember long ago when you all were in Florida working on the boat the first time, you would ride your bikes to Kika's grandma's house; and I was wondering if she had any problems with the hurricane or any tornadoes that it spawned. Nice episode about a day in the life of Dan and Kika. All the Love, All the Power

Dan…removing the binacle and adding a tiller is great. Here’s why.
1- it clears tons of space in the cockpit. Make it foldable. 90 % of your time is spent at anchor. The space will be used more .
2-when your setting sail trim, you can see the angle of the rudder. Especially when it’s blowing snot and you need to know. Plus you can feel the pressure on the rudder from the sea conditions so you can adjust sails accordingly.
3-you can use sheet to tiller steering Learn it. It works fantastically. Master it.
4- I’ve done 4 blue water conversion’s including my own boats and no one ever regretted it. They wish they had done it sooner. Cheers from your old acquaintance Jean.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to Kika and Dan. Thank you for all the interesting and enticing videos, showing us so much of the world and its oceans, as well as courage, craftsmanship, innovation, entrepreneurship, humor, can-do, and a couple who are so well matched and loving.

With Jordan and Desiree off the ocean, you're my last sailing channel in my subscriptions. I thought I would get really into sailing during covid (even bought a sail boat). But, I found myself getting more into music. So you're the last holdout of that part of my life. Super looking forward to the day Uma is back on water!

I have always liked the helm forward on your boat as it was obvious to me that it is more protected.

The scope of your job is insane, the fact one of you hasn't attempted to kill the other repeatedly is astounding.. What a team.

I spent many an hour at French village pumps cranking away while filling the water tank of our van in the mid-80s using that exact port. Get an oil funnel with a bendy pipe and you’re good.
