How Patents distort Society & Economy
Показать описание
Are Patents Advancing Innovation or Strangling Society?
In this video, we dive into the controversial world of patents and their impact on innovation in this economic explainer video. Are patents truly driving progress, or have they become a barrier to creativity and natural discovery?
I’ve spent years researching the history of inventions, exploring the origins of the patent system, and analyzing its effects from multiple angles. What I’ve uncovered might challenge everything you thought you knew about how ideas should flow and grow in society.
In this first video of the series, I introduce my Topsoil Thesis of Innovation, where I explain why attempting to fast-track progress with patents is a flawed concept—and how this artificial construct fails both practically and logically. We touch on economic, patent and intellectual property theory, philosophy, and practice. Of particular focus in this video is the Industrial Revolution in the textile phase. With the English inventor John Kays as a particular focus to illustration some of the facets of patents.
Get ready to see innovation in a whole new light. Involving
