All-in-One is an absolute desaster of a Plugin. Somehow it only works for 1 out of 10 migrations. I have more luck playing in the casion than successfully migrate a site with

This was so wicked helpful. I literally in the middle of doing an FTP download of old and new site, and to see how easy it is these days is astounding. thank you for such a clear and easy to understand of the breakdown of these systems

Thanks for this comparison video! Excellent job clearly describing the pros and cons. I have been using Duplicator (free) for years and have been pretty happy with it. Whenver I've had any technical issues, Cory Lamle is always pretty quick to respond on WP Forums. The only real issue I've had consistently is that my website is a basically a blog and portfolio for web design and graphic design so there are lots of medium-res images. Even using a compression plugin my website size is between 1-2 GB currently. The only way to do the backup without it running into server limit/plugin limitation issues is to do the "Database only" 2-part backup, which works, but is more elaborate. Again, this is just because my web content is necessarily large. I think I'll be purchasing the full version soon.

All in One WP Migration is the best. It really is simple to use and works well.. I have used loads of these migration plugins but WP Migration just works.

The down side is the limit is 300Mb right now not 500. Also the price is $69 annually not a one off fee so it is rather expensive to say the least.

What about backup migratory plugin by backup bliss. They offer automatic backups and offer 1 click restore. For migration, you just have to copy the link of the backup file from your old host (you can find the link for every backup) and it will automatically restore, no download required. The only restriction is a 2 GB limit for backups.

All in one sucks so much now, When you try to use the FTP route recommeneded even for a small website, it tells you the option is just for pro users, but you can still use the import feature, but that feature doesn't work dafuq? why would i go through the process of installing Filezilla and all it entails otherwise as a newbie. and what garantee do i have that it will work after payment?!
Been looking for something else i can use to upload the wp file. no luck yet.

All in one wp migration plugin is not straightforward for me. Exporting is easy. But importing always timeout or get stuck even though the network is stable. Duplicator could not download my files while Exporting.

So, I will try the vivid plugin..

Anyway, thanks for the video. I learnt from it.

I thought UpdraftPlus free version allows backing up manually and then their Migration tool is a free module that can be used for migration. Could you please check this and confirm? I will check on my side as well. Thank you.
