Life After Death | Luke 16:19-31 | Gary Hamrick

Most people have a curiosity about the afterlife. That’s because the Bible says that “God has set eternity in the hearts of men” (Ecc. 3:11). The eternal God has put an eternal awareness in the hearts of every human being. In Luke 16 Jesus tells one of the most insightful stories about the afterlife. He details the deaths of two men and the different places they went after they died. One man went to a place of Torment where he suffered, and the other man (named Lazarus) went to a place of Paradise where he was comforted. How is Paradise different from Heaven? What happens when we die? Pastor Gary answers these questions and more as he teaches through Luke 16.

Thank you for mentioning the angels who carried Lazarus to Abraham when he died and reminding us that you are never alone when you die. My heart was so burdened when my Mother passed on due to Covid, but today my heart ❤️is lifted up, remembering the scriptures in Luke 16:22 And the poor man died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. So I am comforted that you reminded those who lost loved ones during Covid that they where never alone✝️😇

Pastor Gary, thank you so much for the Word of God. My husband passed over two years ago of Covid. I was there in the hospital by myself and I heard him give up the Ghost. Also, at 15 years old, my father died in my arms and I also heard him take his last breath. My little girl Rebekah, who was 40 days and 40 nights old, I also heard her take her last breath. What has given me the greatest comfort today is hearing you say, They are accompanied by the Angels to heaven.

I don't go to church but I'm a very firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died for me as a sinner and he's giving me eternity of salvation And the reason I don't go to church is because where I live I have no transportation I want to go to a church that's going to be praying from the Bible not their works if you can find anybody in San Bernardino that is willing to pick me up and take me to church and listen to the word from the Bible I would just be blessed knowing that I'll be able to be at church on Sunday or Saturday or whatever day the services are thank you and God bless you I've been listening to you and I'm just going with my Bible and I do study my Bible and I just don't read it I read every word of it I don't put any other words in there I read the Bible the words of the Lord Jesus Christ God bless you

There are preachers, and there are anointed preachers, and Gary is one of the latter. A man called by God to preach His holy Word. I accepted Jesus at the end of 1980 and have listened to, and read, many preachers, and I think Gary is among the best.

I love your preaching! It moves me to tears and that's what I miss about alter calls and praying. So many churches here don't have that and it's sad. They start off saying " well only keep you for about 50 minutes" I think that's sad as they are mega church with all the best dressed and wealthy and spend an hr in the lobby coffee bar before and after, talking to eachother. I sat sobbing in a hoodie hiding my eyes and stayed in my seat to pray and two security guards came to me...I don't think Jesus would do that. I walked out and stood five feet from the pastor talking to some woman about kids and I waited to hopefully talk to him, he looked at me turned and walked away. Didn't even know that he'd baptized me a few years before and I moved away, ended up getting divorced loosing my career as a nurse from injury, husband left, I came back home, and he walked away...I'm thankful for your passion and knowledge and being in YouTube! God bless you!🕊️ Now I'm dying, alone, and I wish I had a pastor to talk to on the phone. Wish I could talk to you!!
