Michael Carneal is seeking parole after being sentenced to life 25 years ago for the Heath High School shooting. He was 14 years old when he opened fire inside his high school in West Paducah, Kentucky, killing three girls. Missy Jenkins testified at his Kentucky state parole board hearing. She is one of five students wounded in the shooting. During his hearing, Carneal told the parole board that voices in his head told him to kill.

At the end of the day if someone says they have voices in their heads. Probably the wise thing to do is not grant them parole.

RIP to the victims. Keep him where he is, give him medical intervention. He's still a danger to the public.

You would think after just 1 year that people would have a change of heart and mind in prison. 24 years later and this guy still has voices ACTIVELY speaking to him. Do not release him, he's still a danger to society.

I feel so sorry for the woman in the wheelchair. She was robbed of her life

They should've kept him behind bars. The fact that he even mentioned that he had voices in his head proves that he is just making excuses for his unjustifiable actions.

Let him stay his ass in prison where he belongs!

He killed a 14yr old, a 17yr old and a 15yr old. There's absolutely no way he should ever see the outside of a prison.

If he is STILL hearing voices, than how can you even THINK of letting him out!?!

If you’re seeking parole why on Earth would you admit that you have voices in your head telling you to harm yourself and others 😭

What's to keep those voices in his head from killing someone else when he gets out. Keep him locked up for life.

Wow! He looks closer to 59 than 39. Prison life has definitely aged him.

After he responded that he heard voices a couple of days ago, her response should have been: ‘We’ll see you again in 50 years.’

As a psychology student, the first thing I thought of was "he could be having a disorder". Then, I felt bad for him. Then, I also see your comments about how it's an excuse and he should be in jail. Thoughts anyone? To me, I'd say he needs to go through stringent psychological testing and get the proper treatment he needs. I do agree that he'd be a danger to society but he does seem to need help.

25 years ago, voices in his head told him to kill people and he did it, today he says he still hears those voices, only difference is that he is in prison and is very limited in what he can do... please, for the love of god, do not let that dude out.
