Shimmer speed also means that only as Jinx could she pull that off. She became who she needed to be for this timeline.

It's sad that Ekko and Jinx never got to work together because with Jinx's long range and Ekko's close combat they'd be unstoppable. That and they can keep up with each other's speeds like no one else, best pair

Great theory! I agree, I believe it's true.

Jinx dodged the tendril meant for her, and instead got the one meant for Ekko. The tendril meant for Jinx either dissipated or was "reassigned" to Ekko, but in either case the delay was enough time for Ekko to save the day at the end.

Ekko was the coolest character in arcane and he saved everyone at the end.

It’s actually likely* that Ekko and Jayce had touched the arcane, essentially making them impervious to the (I’m not sure what to call the little string things) however, they could still be controlled directly by Viktor as long as he made contact with them.

He avoided it with his board thing. Jinx and the board are fast enough to dodge it. It was shown earlier that episode that noxian troops were deadly accurate but couldn’t hit someone on one of those flying boards.(they also dodge bullets while on them earlier in the show). I do think him touching the arcane/being able to reject paradise is what allowed to resist it when he gets grabbed later though.

I think the real key is that Jinx's dodge shows that speed can outmaneuver the tentacles and it took her being slowed down for her to be captured. Ekko is still on his board and therefore can outpace the tentacles.

a better theory is that
- ekko rejected his better future in episode seven when he came back
- jayce had no better future ws hed either be killed in the snowstorm, turned into a robot or what happens in episode nine

So my thoughts are that the tool that echo uses to turn back time was a variable introduced from a different timeline. It's what made their future which didn't account for it change and why Victor who knew the future was shocked. That small variable echo brought essentially saved them

It was probably meant for Ekko but looked dead so he said whatever. That is why he was caught by surprise when Ekko showed up.
None of the dead were connected.

Also Ekko only figured out how to time travel because he studied the acceleration rune Jayce had and inversed it. That's why all the other runes he gave Jayce never worked.

There’s also another good theory in that the reason Ekko wasn’t affected is because he already got to experience his “perfect world” when he went to the alternative universe and things were great, so he had no other desire for wanting a better life while everyone else was still suffering or hurt (ex: Jinx wanting to leave Vi so Vi wouldn’t worry about here anymore and so she can just be with Caitlyn, Mel literally just killed her own mother, Jayce wanting Viktor to get back to his senses and so on. Ekko meanwhile already experienced the perfect life he wanted.

Let's not forget, Ekko needed the help from Powder in the alternative timeline to get the Time Travel to work too, they're a match made in heaven.
