The Volkswagen Group is brining back an old car brand called Scout, and to ramp up production of their planned EV off road vehicles, they're building a $2 billion factory in Blythewood, South Carolina.

It will be a multi-million square foot facility sitting on 1,600 acres and is expected to be operational by 2026.

How are we gonna charge the vehicles ? Current power generation can’t charge all the EV’s on the road now, factories wanting to covert their fleets to EV get laughed when applying for the permits.

Just as they are closing down EV factories. What timing.

hope they plan on putting solar panels (and other "green" sources of electricity) on the grounds 😬

Offroad and EV aren't a good idea. Imagine going into the wild to do some offroading/camping and you run out of battery, what are you going to do? Electric cars are really hard to toe so at that point just ditch it where you ran out

This is stupid why get and off-road ev. Also if someone hacks into our power grid and the us forces all gas and diesel vehicles off the road the only ones will be ev and if someone hacks the us power grid it will shut the entire us down with no ways to travel. The stupidest idea ever.
