Hey David :) I started to rebuild a Puch Maxi S for my girlfriend about 2 months ago and the colour I chose is nearly exact the same - while working on it I discovered your videos and can't believe all the similarities, it made me smile so much! The E50 motor is bloody reliable and I was really surprised when my one started at the first try without using the choke. This weekend I'll put on a new exhaust and then it'll be completed. I was really happy to find the last episode of your rebuild today. When you are interested I can send a picture of my Puch to you :) All the best greetings to you and your wife from Hamburg, Germany - Martin!

"If she rides half as good as she looks, I'll be a happy man". Took me a minute to figure out you were referring to the Puch.

Hi David! This year I bought my first bike ever - a 1975 Puch Maxi that was in good shape but needed some restoration and new parts to run well again. I had no prior mechanical experience and needed some help learning about the bike and how it works. Your video series rebuilding the Puch Maxi was amazing as a guide to follow. I do not think I could have rebuilt my E50 engine with new seals, bearings etc without your vids. I just wanted to say thanks for making awesome moped content and for showing all the little steps and tips when you go through a rebuild. Super helpful and keep em coming! - Meghan

I was wondering when the follow up would come! Very impressed with how the bike came out, the color is beautiful.

Hello David, Many thanks for uploading the final video of this project. Please keep going with uploads in 2019, as I look forward to watching them, [sitting here on the sofa with a glass of wine] every week, or every month or two, way back here, in Thornhill, Scotland Regards John

Oh my gosh! It's a Christmas miracle! A new episode of DFHS!!
The Maxi looks GREAT! I need to resume my Puch Dart project soon, I've gotten a little distracted by some of the other bikes in my garage, namely an old Manco Mini bike I dug up and got running again after sitting for nearly 2 decades.

Can't wait for what you've got coming in 2019! :D

Wow Dave ! You surely did fix that shit. You’ve inspired me to take my time and try to cut no corners cleaning and reconditioning my moped. Nice, nice work Dave

It always fun to watch at your videos David! I was laughing quite a bit at your stopwatch experiment. Working on mopeds never turns out to be as easy as it should be.
I recently spend 2 days mounting the crankshaft in the crankcase of my 99z moped. Two whole days! That engine is ridiculous :P

Another great vid and a big 👍 for the nod to Travis Tutorial, his videos taught me so much (although you wouldn't know it from the state my bikes are in). Looking forward to the magnum, especially any engine work as i'm going to be rebuilding a ZA50 soon. Happy new year David

Hi David. Is there color code number or RAL number available for the blue color of the Puch. I want to use the same color for my frame as well. Thnx. Cheers mate. Good job!

Dave, what are you using as a hard flat surface you’ve got that 2000 grit taped to? I’d imagine it’s not just a regular milled saw off of a 2x10. Wife’s marble kitchen cutting board?

David, what band name do you make your music under?
