I went to OSU golf camp when I was 15-16 years old. While there I met a kid who had red shirted at OSU his freshman year. That was Rickie Fowler. Justin Bieber hair and all. He came out, and they told us that he had a really weird swing, but we’d be amazed what he could do with it. They threw him his driver and he proceeded to hit 30 drivers off the deck like he was hitting a 7 iron. The guy is class, and has been a beast since then.

Although never easy, that shot used to be easier in the days of smaller drivers. For instance, in the 90s, Tiger used to play that off-the-deck 1-wood fade a lot. You just don’t see it much anymore. VERY impressive shot!
