I guess the old saying, from Texas, doesn't apply anymore lmao: " all hat, no cattle"....I suppose it's a country fashion thing now. Can tell some one is rural or appreciates that kind of life if they wear I guess. 'cept for the buckle bunnies trying to snag haha. Just city gals looking to upgrade their life- they're sometimes scary creatures around here. I want to visit one day and get a customized one, would be neat. I run cattle up in Saskatchewan but I never wear that stuff. Saskatchewan cowboys, we're the poor cousin's of the Alberta guys, we wear rubber boots and free ag dealer ball caps hahahaha

When it’s hot out you wear a straw hat. When the weather is cooler wear Felt. Rules for what date to wear dark colors or light colors is for worker bees in The banking and financial industry or the military. Otherwise you are free to do what you want when you want. In America people think for themselves.

Good thing I'm a Hoosier, and NOT a "cowboy"... All year is "wear whatever the F hat I want" season. It's July, as I type this, and I'm about to step out in my FELT Cavalry hat, with requisite Cavalry (Armor) braid. Let someone tell me that I shouldn't be wearing it, please. 19 Kilo don't give an F... Maybe tomorrow, I'll step out in my straw Cattleman's, or my straw Gambler, or my straw Gus...

Damn dime store, rhinestone "cowboys". Ain't ever straddled a horse, roped a steer, or looked at a live cow up close, yet they're "cowboys". Probably driving around in a Prius, at that!
