Which Armor Type Did Clone Troopers Prefer Phase One or Two?

Phase 2 is arguebly the best designed armor in SW. I love the the phase 2 helmet bridging the gap between Mando helmet and stormtrooper helmet.

I thought the whole thing about phase 1 was that it was stronger hence the reason Rex modified his suit to get the best of both phases

In general I'm pretty sure phase 2 was a better recieved. I remember clones given more leniency would customize their armor from both sets.

There were also advanced sets like the Katarn class armor for Clone Commandos and the ARC Trooper variants.

As a kid I always liked phase 1 more, but as an adult I’ve grown to appreciate phase 2.
Still I think my favourite suit overall is phase 1 ARC trooper armour, as it blends the durability of phase 1 with the mobility and improved visibility of phase 2.
Plus, phase 2 helmet with a fin… god that had no right going so hard.

In functionality phase 2 is better but in looks phase 1 is 20x better.

Probably depends on when they were cloned, those who served in the phase 1 era were closer to 50/50, phase 2 clones most likely never seen phase 1

I don’t know about the better protection part. Fives took a blaster pistol shot to the chest and died. Old man Rex took a droideka shot to his phase 1 chest plate on Agamar and didn’t, even complementing it after.

I think I’m with Captain Rex in the fact that I like aspects of both. I do like the phase one helmet design better tho

I personally believe all the Clones should have done what Captain Rex did and combine them best of Both Worlds the protection of phase 1 in the mobility of phase 2

Phase ll may be more efficient but I think we can all agree the phase one arc troopers looked cooler than phase two arc troopers

I loved the look of phase 1 armor more. I get it tho, comfortability and mobility over looks any day. But man did that phase 1 armor hype me up as a kid 😂

I find phase one more ascetically pleasing, but I’m not gonna say it’s the better armor because I don’t know all the details and lore of each phase

If i culd customise my armor to the extent rex did. I wuld just keep the p1 helmet chest and back armor and the body soute.
