4 core seems adequate for a car screen, now just add wireless android auto, microphone for handsfree communications and an OLED screen.

core factor will effect to the android performance (lag or not sometime lead to freeze or hang) it's depend on how much apps you will open simultaneously at once on that android.

if u open way too much TASK/ apps ( navigation + music+ split screen + other files apk at the backgroud that u are not fully closed it ) while using 4 core, the formance will be slow, lag or might lead to freeze/hang,

but the android perfomance will run smoothly when u using Android with 8 core and above spec tech.


its will be different with the refresh rate (Herz). this will show you the SPEED of every frame rate of display.
even though u compared between 2 android player with same core with different refresh rate. the android with higher refresh rate will give more fast (SPEED ) to open any apps you will open .

as an instance,
android 4 core with 60hertz
will be slow response to sensitivity of touch screen.
meanwhile 4 core with 120hertz will respond smoothly and more fast response to sensitivity of touch screen.

that's why some people might say it's make no difference when you only make comparison by only open one task ( not simultaneously task) for big difference in core of both android.
