For those saying that this is slow... This is a base Corvette and a manual, the auto is faster. This car is faster than a Carrera S, M3, etc. Those that are pitting it with cars that have 200 hp more, of course they are going to be faster. Get a Z06 if you want to kick ass!

New comparison: 2015 M3 0-200km/h - 12.9 seconds, C7 0-200km/h in 14.2 seconds (minus 0.5 for the gear change = 13.7). No excuses now ;)

For everyone who is saying it’s slow, acceleration isn’t the point in this vid! C7 stingrays can do a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds flat with accurate acceleration

That rev counter reminds me of the C63's layout, even turns red at the redline.
Nice V8 music from the cabin but the ratios are uneven, should run tighter spacing eg. 60/105/150/210/260/320/380

Motor trend tested the corvette stingray z51 and the Ferrari f12 and they both ran a lap time of 1:36 so actually it's not faster at all.

You mean standing mile. The car will reach maximum 240-245 in 1 km. Not really 265, it should have at least 600 hp for that.

Just love how people complaining this car is slow. Lol first of all, let's talk about the price. 60K without z51 package, manual. Don't even mention how much Porsches are. Just saying. Second of all, 420HP in an NA engine means less max torque because no force induction.but it does gives a better control for the accelerations around corners. And it is fun when people compare corvette to M5 and the vette is slower. LOL. Although M5 is heavy, but it has a twin Turbo V8 which produce a huge amount of torque to carry that weight and around 580 HP. How is that a fair comparison? And so M5 cost twice as the corvette. Btw, just saying that Porsche and corvette had the same 7-SPD manual. For those who doesn't know anything about cars. Agian, just saying, I don't like American cars, but I have to admit corvettes are good. Think about a car that can go that fast at this price with the look and brand new interior, exctucally. None.

U people have to remember that this is only the c7 stingray, it's only a sports car, the c7 z06 and zr1 will be the fast ones

Bye just a tiny correction. C7 actually have 460HP but the point still stands, and I don't think u can find another V8 like this at this price with nearly 30MPG ??

C7 0-250km/h 26.4 seconds - BMW M5 0-250 in 18.9 seconds, conclusion, it's not very fast for what it is.
