What a Japanese Moving Company in Tokyo is like

The Japanese moving company experience is unlike many other countries. This is a Day in the Life of moving Japanese apartments in Tokyo which can be stressful, but using a Japanese moving company can make the move in Japan a bit easier. If you are moving to Japan or moving to Tokyo, this is something you may want to consider. Living in Tokyo and living in Japan has many challenges, but hiring a Japanese moving company made it less so in my personal experience. During the Tokyo move you can see how a day in my life in Japan is like. My life in Tokyo is documented over the next 3 days moving so you can see what living in Japan may be like for you. We use the company Art Moving Center also known as Art Hikkoshi Center ( アート引越センター ). As mentioned in the video, I was not paid for this video, but the company did move our Japanese apartment for free since we were going to film our Japan moving experience. Also, you'll get a quick Japanese apartment tour of my old and new place. If you want to see more behind the scenes, Tokyo apartment tour, or just Tokyo vlog videos, check out my 2nd channel, Tokyo Zebra. Link is just below.

NOTE: I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these times. This video was filmed before Tokyo started recommending a city lockdown. In fact, at the time of uploading this video, Tokyo is still not officially on lockdown and residents are able to go out as they wish, but please know that I am staying at home these days as much as possible, eating meals at home and only venturing out for necessary items such as pregnancy clinic visits, grocery shopping, etc and also practicing social distancing as much as it is possible in Tokyo. And of course, I am not traveling these days.

Here in Brazil we just call Ricardão with his truck and we pray that he doesn't see something interesting in the move.

"We apologize for your neighbor moving today. Here's a small gift from our company, have a nice day."

That's actually so smart as a marketing trick as well as just a nice thing to do.

In Australia, my gramps just rents a huge truck and the whole family comes to help a person or family move. It’s like a family reunion 😂

I’ve never seen a country that takes so much pride in taking care of others and the respect for others is just amazing. Ive never seen a moving company like this. When my wife and I move into our home, the movers destroyed our walls and broke some of our furniture. I wish this moving company was available here in the US.

Most countries : Yeet that furniture

Japan : The furniture is your child, love your child, protect the child

Japan: "We protect everything so it doesnt damaged while we move your precious items"

Did he seriously put a cloth on the floor before putting down his bag?? That's some dedication

I've been working in the removal industry for 15 years and must say that this moving process is highly professional and well organised.

The only similarity I can see with my country: we also use humans.

So are we all just gonna ignore the awesome little dividers for plates and the clothes hanger box? I want that.

The level of respect to go to every unit in the building to apologize in advance is insane, I love Japan. They make everything much more pleasant

Last time I moved in America, the moving company broke my desk, scratched up the wooden floors, and lost a box.... the level of dedication and detail here is incomparable.

Paolo: Is it like this in your country?

Pretty much the rest of the world: really

I'm completely shook by this video. They even apologize to neighbors!!! This is mind blowing.

Actually, I thought of starting a moving company then I saw this. Man, their level of service is just so intimidating to be the standard.

My movers lost my couch. Not the seats or the cushion. A whole couch.
