Brothers, I know this is 3 years old, but I just *have* to say that this was awesome through and through -- not just because my beloved old timer kicked some Italian butt, not because you two are just fantastic sports about this whole thing. Of course, I'm aware that you're friends and that this whole rivalry is tongue in cheek, but the dedication to fix the GSXR in the night and to swap riders and tires on the track for science is just chef's kiss.

If ever you two read this, know you've made yet another rider proud to be one. Fantastic episode, boys.

The legend of the K5 always prevails. I remember racing mine around that same track back in 2016-18, it could hang with the brand new liter bikes all day. Suzuki just got it right in 2005-2006

To be fair on the Suzuki, it wasn’t that long ago that every Ducati still made weird rhythmic rattling noises right from the factory.

I'd really like to revisit this episode in 15 years and see if the Ducati even still runs after 55k miles. Seems unlikely to me that it will, you can knock the rice burners all you want but the pasta powered rockets could never hold a candle to their reliability.

One of my favorite things to take from this video is watching these guys admit they were anxious, scared, perhaps jittery, but push forward for their very best performance. That’s what’s it’s about.
