Scientists Have Found Why Megalodon Went Extinct

Natalie Wood, Bruce Lee, Notorious B.I.G. The killers of these people haven’t been found to this day. But there are criminal cases full of questions and inconsistencies that remain unsolved for a few million years.
Who killed the most enormous cold-blooded prehistoric monsters called the Megalodon and the Titanoboa? The investigation hits a dead end because it's hard to comprehend who or what could defeat those monsters. Eyewitnesses are long gone, and the evidence was destroyed by time.
In this video, we’ll reopen the investigation and find out: how did a lethal dose of radiation end up at the scene? Can we trust the white sharks’ alibi? And most importantly, who killed the prehistoric mega predators?

I love how he basically compared megaladons and titanboas to tupac and biggie💀

At the beginning of the video the guy was talking about Megalodons, but I could have sworn that the aquatic predator in the video was the giant sperm whale known as Leviathan. Leviathan or Livyatan was HUGE, like some really big killer whale on steroids, almost as big as Megalodon, but had even longer and larger teeth. But being a whale, Leviathan (or Livyatan) had to periodically resurface to breathe air, so it couldn't dive down into the depths and remain there for long periods of time like a shark could.

Megalodon's skeletons were never found because, like all sharks, they were cartilaginous fish. That's why the only things we have as their existence is teeth.

*Megaladon has left the chat*
Whales: That's a relief.
*Giant Squid has entered the chat.*
Whales: *Intense sweating*

The fact that the megaladon is misrepresented as a whale in most of the animations wreaks havoc on my OCD.

The theory about megalodon extinction I find most convincing is the idea that each individual had to have a large area to hunt in to support their large size... this meant there were never all that many of them, and they were so spread out they wouldn't be meeting up to mate very often. Add to that predation by pods of dolphins and orcas, and they could easily have been on the edge of survival for a long time.

I love how im scared of the ocean and wildlife, because of what I dont know, yet I still watch these lol.

Going by size and weight, the Blue Whale is the largest of all the animals that has ever lived. It is the undisputed king. We are lucky that they are still around.

If animals were bigger due to high O2 levels. Couldn't they have died from the 02 going away. Say they're used so much 02 and only smaller animals who didn't need as much survived?

You should add parasites, bacteria, and viruses to the list of possible reasons for the extinction ofthe two creatures. Then there's climate change, which could have so reduced the creatures these two preyed on that they were starved into extinction. As for megalodon and titanaboa causing each other's extinction, that's very unlikely, because titanaboa had plenty of prey on land to go after. But after the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum the world began to cool down, and that could have done it for both, especially if disease pathogens came into play as well.

It's crazy how when oxygen levels increase, the size of biological life on the planet and plant life increases greatly. Bugs get massive. We see examples of this in the deep antarctic ocean that's rich in oxygen dense water and we see gigantism in isopods, squids, sea stars, crabs, etc.

These videos are the most interesting videos ever

Hmm Titanoboa died over 50 million years ago and Megalodon didn't appear until 23 million. How does that math work that they fought each other? 🤣🐍🦈

When you use a sperm whale in place of a megalodon shark. Sharks tails go side to side, not up and down.

I loved how he used Godzilla roar for the attack scenes.Great video man👏👏👏👏👏👏

How about the giant Cephalods? These creatures are lived before the dinosaurs and they are well documented on how they prey and killed sharks. I can't believe ridddle missed this? 🤔

Any number of reasons probably contributed to the extinction of the Megladon. Orcas or their ancient ancestors no doubly played a part, providing competition and team work amongst then probably limited the meg’s food source. Scarce food means starvation and starvation leads to death.

How about a genetic mutation due to radiation had turned these animals either steriles or even ttriggered an operon lethal gene locus on them, responsible for a dominant lethal alleles causing a pleiotropy or a frameshift mutation in the worst case scenario, leading them to an end?

Damn, had a flow going right out of the gate there
