The big conceptual hole I see with this video is that it has an almost entirely Capitalist perspective. This makes it extremely myopic. This why it talks of quantum computing as enhancing military capabilities forgetting that such a powerful technology could unify humanity and eliminate the need for militaries all together. Any advanced civilization would act as a unified species in full balance with its home planet. All the resources, both human and natural, would go to moving civilization to ever greater heights rather then on point;less wars that enrich a few while greatly retarding human progress. We see this perspective in Star Trek where here on earth war is a nasty relic of the past. The only thing earthlings have to worry about, as part of a larger federation of planets, is external threats from aggressive species such as the Borg. The fact of the matter is that no space faring civilization would have a socioeconomic system such as Capitalism at its core; Capitalism is simply unsuitable, due to its contradictions and self -destructive tendencies, for the development of an advanced civilization capable of traversing the stars.
