Another good video, the consensus is leave AC work to the experts...!

Great video, a lot of people tend not to leave the system on vacuum. I try at least a hour minimum if I can leave over night I will!

Thanks Mr Subaru I am not critical but you forgot to check the path the condensation takes to come out of the vehicle to make sure it is not blocked and clean the cowl cover for debris.

Dude, I’ve done many successful jobs with the cans from Autozone. Not once did I use stop leak of any kind.

Love the Snap On rig.

Why do you replace valves under vacuum instead of doing it after recovery?

Cool video, I have owned to many Subarus to mention (always bought new other than my GC6 mentioned prior), I always thought they had AC systems on the weaker side, same advised by my buddies who also buy Subarus. Man do I wish you lived near Long Island, I wouldn't trust a local place to do this service correctly, especially adding back in the pag oil. I actually don't trust them do much of anything correctly, maybe brakes they do okay since that is a pretty simple service, even then they cut corners and do a sloppy job. I used to do brakes myself but live in an apt now, makes car work a pain in the ass.

The A/C on my 06XT is still as factory fitted and gassed in 2006. Never had an issue.

Love your videos. I have a 2011 Outback and it’s cool, but I think it’s a little low. I’ve been looking for published high and low side readings as I wanted to add some if I’m able to. Or should I just take it somewhere and do what you just showed us which goes strictly by amount instead of pressure ? Thanks

Hey MrSubaru, I recently noticed my 2018 Subaru Legacy A/C has no clutch, when I checked at Subaru parts websites they say “Your A/C may or may not have clutch” what is the deal with that?
I love your Chanel, you doing such a great job. Thank you

If the compressor seized up and likely sent metal into the system, will that contaminate the ac recovery machine when recovering the refrigerant?

All AC compressor oil types including synthetic

I have a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The AC Evaporator core failed in the beginning of 2019 and I replaced it, along with the expansion valve and seals. The system was Evacuated and recharged, but doesn't cool as it once did. It only gets down to about 55 degrees. The dealership states the condenser is leaking and wanted $1200. I said no, and now 1.25 years later, it still blows 55 degrees. If it was leaking, would it not now be too low on refrigerant to work at all? Any advice you can provide? Thanks in advance and keep those videos coming! :)
