I’ve recently started using dip powder too!
Things that have helped me:
- Good cuticle prep helps prevent lifting
- Use an e file to remove bulk esp around cuticle area
- Ensure top coat is sealed at end and cuticle without touching skin
Mine last for three weeks before any lifting and I don’t get any cracks!

As someone already said, prep is SUPER important. I have oily nail beds personality, so I have experienced the issues you had with lifting in a few days. It's frustrating. After you have done your cuticle removal, I always clean off dust from filling with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a lint free wipe. Then I use a nail dehydrator on all my nails doing ONE HAND at a time! I also have had better luck with a certain brad of dip liquids. I recommend Vivid Glam Co. liquids. Make sure you use a nail detail tool or toothpick going around your cuticle after every dip into the powder. My dip can last 3 weeks. However, I personally remove it after 2 weeks, because I want a different design, TeeHee.😊 As someone else has said, I highly recommend Sip and Dip with Chelsea. She has taught me so much about dip powder nail application. I know this is a late response, but I just found this video, so I hope your application process has been better. Be patient with yourself it takes time to perfect your personal application process.

I've been doing dip powder for yearssss and it's so much better for your nails then Gel at least for mine. You need to file the top layer off put pure acetone on a piece of cotton well soaked and put tin foil around it to hold it in place for like 15-20 min and file off the layers much better for your nails it will turn to goo means it's working lol

Ive just bought the Sassy Saints dip set. Like it so far. But yes its tricky to put on and remove. Though doesn't take as long as i thought.

You're supposed to avoid contact with any moisture including water or oil for at least an hour before starting your nails to prevent that green thing omg that looks so scary. I think they cracked because your nails are long and you need to make an apex because my short nails lasted for over two weeks :)

I have over 200 dips. Your prep is very important. Your prep could take as long as the actual process of dipping. Make sure to build the mail as you later, not like a nail polish. Do half lengths every other dip.

try using a builder gel if you want strength its less damaging to your nails than dip powder

As a qualified nail tech this made me cry inside. They are cracking because they are too long and there isn't enough of an apex to cope with the length. Dip is a big no no and so unhygienic. I started as a home user and made sure I hot some qualifications as I quickly realised as I delved deeper into at home nails that so many of these products are unregulated and can cause allergies as one commenter has found out. I now only use professional products that require qualifications to purchase. I'm not preaching but you can really cause yourself problems in the long term. X

I wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in some acetone, then wrap some tinfoil and I place the hand in a plastic bag( with a plastic zip closed very tightly ) After that, i place my hand in a very warm/hot water for 10min. I’ve tried different ways but this one works the best ( it melts the dipping powder)

Personally gave up on dip powder and just went back to getting acrylics done 😂 even when I did the perfect mani they still cracked and broke

Oh nooo 🙈 it's me (the nail tech who commented on your original testing video of them), told you dip was a faff 😂 Just keep them well oiled with cuticle oil and apply your usual gel polish/builder gel if you're happy to and they will get harder and stronger again before you know it xx❤

Nail foils! Once you have them, you are more likely to remove them when you should as opposed to waiting until you don't have a choice.

Which brand did you try? I’ve had a similar experience with it recently. On my third try and I can’t get them even, they crack, chip off and ruin my nails underneath 😢😢
