It's so entertaining the way debate takes place and it makes the thinking behind the ideas so clear.

The 1970s for me, but that's nostalgia talking. It wasn't all Spangles and Angel Delight.

If you choose anything after the 50s, it should be at most the early 70s, general social survey measured happiness and things like that from the 70s, and happiness and marital happiness were both highest in the 1970s than now, and all social classes approximately were married to the same extent, in the 80s and 90s the divroce rate and single motherhood already increased too much and marriage went declining especially for the less educated

But generally i will prefer the 50s, homicide rate was even the lowest at that time, and then increased throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s

People who pine for supposedly glorious golden ages weren't actually there. They exist only in their own fantasies.
