I have both still in 2022 calibrated and pioneer is still the better tv. Better cleaner uniformity
Less noise
Brighter
More accurate skin tones. Panasonics tend to have more red in them.
No line bleed
Not prone to screen burn unlike Panasonics which is so much easier.
Both are very close but pioneer still takes it.

look at pioneer brightness. I had panasonic vt20 & I know panasonic plasma have the plastic picture but pioneer really really naturally & have more cinematic standard picture . now I've pioneer LX6090 & I know that's better than any OLED
pioneer still is the king👑

I have a KRP-500m and will soon be putting it up for sale. I had no red tint issues or any other for that matter, fantastic display. I purchased the 65VT60 for the extra 15" in size (delivery date this Thursday.) 3D as a small bonus. I will be comparing the two properly before selling the pio.

ZT hands down. Black level, contrast, and color was so much better than the Kuro. Colors seemed brighter on the Kuro, but unnatural and too saturated compared side by side to the Panasonic. I know alot depends on calibration and such as well.

I really hope Panasonic reconsiders stepping out of the plasma market. I seriously doubt OLED will be as reliable, and ddefinatly not as affordable for the first few generations of the technology. I WANT THE ZT60

I got the VT60, or I should say my wife got it for me. It will be here day after tomorrow. Im very excited about it. The ZT didnt get released in AU. I hear thhe VT and ZT use the same panel, only thing is the ZT has a bright room filter on the screen, but a identical picture in dark rooms. You get better sound with the VT, and the camera if you even use Skype and motion functions. I just wanted it for the picture quality, and I get it soon. :)

I have both Panasonic vt20 and Pioneer lx6090. Panasonic has nothing to say to the pioneer in the power of brightness as well as luminosity. I also compared the Pioneer kuro with the oled sony in the Absolute Darkness, the brightness and shine in the Pioneer is amazing.

Wow, looks like the Pioneer is really kicking butt here. It looks almost twice as bright in some scenes. I guess I am in the minority here, but I feel that Panasonic Plasma's are far too dim for me, the Kuro looks to get as black but gives you more overall light output, that is huge in my book

This is ridiculous, an uncalibrated Kuro with brightness clearly turned up v a calibrated zt. The Kuro provides pitch black and is easily on par with the zt. both are top of the class TVs.

At home I have the Pioneer KRP-500A (50" in my livingroom) + Pioneer BDP-LX51 and the Panasonic  TX-P60ZT60 (60") + Pioneer BDP-450 (can upscale the image) in my bedroom (both with high end HDMI cables). Although I deeply regret that Pioneer stopped making Kuro's, I must say that the Panasonic realy has a the better image quality in every way possible. And I have set both TV-sets and both dvd players in their best setting to my taste and I know what i'm doing when setting them. Now my Kuro is 6-7 years old and in the mean time the Panasonic is now at it's best after 6 months playing. When I put a blue ray on, I know I never did see an Image quality like that not even on my Kuro when he was at it's best.  However a month ago I saw a 4K Samsung playing his reference thing...and that was even sharper then the the Panasonic and the Kuro. But then again it's normal it has 4 times more pixels then a 2K (here i'm not talking about blacks levels).

Of course i did. You did watch the same video's as me right ?. If you watch the color accuracy bit from 13.58 mins approximately th expert guy (D-Nice) explains why the Kuro is even more accurate. There are other parts of other videos that the Kuro wins easily. You do realise that the Kuro's black leve/brightness was set higher than normal (+2) actually to keep it fairer.h

Continued... And guess what happened on the image shown side by side of the zt and 151 showing black and shadow details in a bright room (direct light). You couldn't tell the difference that's what. But the Kuro pissed all over the zt for colour accuracy, brightness, sharpness and details.

The Pioneer in this video does not look like an Elite Signature series plasma so I would say this... They should have had a Pioneer Elite 141FD on display here because I have this same Panasonic ZT 60 and a pioneer and the Pioneer seems to have deeper blacks!

I dont think that the kuro was poorly set up, i belive that the major problem is the uv filter on the kuro screen reflects more light than the zt60 thats the only diferense without light both look almost the same we have to remember that the kuro pdp is way oldest and the black levels can be better, the zt models are new and the 0.0013ftl can be better with the time and improve to almost 0.0005 of the kuro

I have a 4280XD from launch & then a LX5090, which of course are great!  The ZT example above is so noticeably 'better' than the KRP that you almost feel they've set i t up wrongly ;-), to look bad, a bit washed out against the ZT, of course not I'm sure they;re calibrated to within an inch of their lives!!  Either way, I've just given in, so I'm making room for one of the last ZT's on sale in the UK, 60"'s here I come ;-)

Pioneer Kuro e mai bun. Se vede foarte clar ca culorile sunt mai aproape de realitate, mai naturale si asta e cel mai important.

I will say the new filter is better on the ZT in comparison to the kuro. But an estimation of roughly 2% only. It soaks up ambient light very well indeed. Bit the Kuro in 98% of situations does also.

I've owned both along with many other high end televisions, the ZT60 is superior to anything I've seen
