The Mazda CX-30 isn't for Carrying People... or Cargo // #shorts

The Mazda CX-30 is a bit compromised when it comes to space. The Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross are enormous by comparison, and the Volkswagen Taos might as well be in a different category. Mazda needs more than dynamics and style to continue to stay relevant.

I'm 6'2 and tested this myself today at the delaership. Test drove the car and where I was comfortable, I sat in the back seat and still had an inch an a half of leg room between my knee and the seat. It depends all on how you sit in the first place.

as a 5’2 short legged person it works super well for me as my seat sits quite far up, and plus I toted around four people in my CX-30 from Texas to Mississippi and we all survived comfortably! So to each their own I guess!

I sit in the drivers seat of my CX30 all the time. People in the back are on their own.

Luckily I bought the car for myself, rear passengers can get their own car if they feel uncomfortable lol

I would rather take the backs seats out completely than drive an Hrv

Stop being a baby! I'm 6'4" and manage quite nicely. If you have to drive with the seat that far back, take the front seat out and sit in the back! 😋

I’m 5’3” and am alone in my car 95% of the time. The cx30 got me off the ground and into an AWD for winter weather in the Midwest for a very reasonable price. It’s a fun drive.

If you need a big family size vehicle then you shouldn’t be looking at a compact vehicle… or if you’re a giant.

But you never mentioned your height. You are just saying "myself" but how do we compare when we dont know ur height.

I’m 6’2” and I fit perfectly in front and back seats 🙋🏻‍♂️

The CX-30 is essentially a personal crossover for those who rarely have more than one passenger. If I were single, I’d drive that because it’s nice and big enough to carry what I need.

This car is perfect for small humans. A lot of my female friends who are 5’2-5’6 have this car. You need the CX 50.

I'm 6'3" but even I don't grimace like that when I sit in the 2nd row of my CX-30.

That's interesting, because I just had four large guys in mine for a 4 hours trip with no issues. Front Passenger is 6' 2" and the rear passenger side occupant behind him is 6' 1". Driver is 5' 11" and the driver side rear passenger was 5' 10".

Not quite sure what the disconnect is, unless you're like 6' 5" or something, which then would totally make sense and a CX-30 wouldn't be wise option for you to begin with.

6'6" is WAY above average height, and you're not even sitting all the way back on the cushion. The front seat could probably also be slightly less reclined, and slightly moved forward too.

Cargo? Learn how to pack. Get crossbars for the roof and a receiver-hitch for the back. I easily fit 3 adults and a baby in a Suzuki SX4 for a 6hr roadtrip. The baby was in a big carseat, and we were toting a swing as well as a playpen. I didn't even need a hitch-rack. A big full-width rooftop box could have swallowed just about all of our stuff, and left space for a dog behind the back seat.

Dude must be 7'2! Seriously, the back seat is tight but being the owner I am never going to sit back there.

He is probably from Honda dealership or just a sissy 😊. Just push driver seat forward a bit. I am 5.8 and don't have problems:)

Completely disagree with him. My friend who is 6foot drives and I’ve sat behind him just fine

I’m 5’7 so it works for me. If you’re 6’2 it’s tough

I'm 5'11 and I can sit behind myself in the CX-30.
The Honda HRV can hold 100 liters less in the trunk...
