I had a miscarriage and worried about this, but my mom reminded me that I baptized the baby with desire. I had already picked out Godparents and talked about baptizing the baby once he/she arrived. So I am not worried about it anymore.

Yes, as long as the baptism doesn't endanger the life of the embryo itself

one thing. mabey just technical. it says, "born again of water and the spirit." implying the baby has been born.

Baptism of desire. A sacrament is a outward sign of an inner devotion.

How can you baptise an embryo in utero? It’s still in fluid, but the baptismal water cannot touch it either, it touches the uterus at best - same case as with the frozen one.

This is a subject I keep getting kinda annoyed with. I was taught in my Catechism class in grade school that if someone's life is in imminent danger of death any person can baptize them with whatever water is available. Amniotic fluid is a special type of water and if you know your baby is going to die in utero, why can't baptizing with the amniotic fluid count as a baptism?

Yes, at the moment if conception the soul is infused into the embryo. Science has seen a spark of light at conception. Yes, Baptism.

Embryos are always in danger of dying very few are ever born after being frozen. I suppose if the parents decided they were not going to continue to keep them alive and allows them to die baptism would be good . I don't know science wise if sprinkling embryos with water would cause their death? You would think so it would be interesting to hear a doctor's perspective on this.

In the Mystical Prayers of Jesus given to Barnabas in Nigeria in the 1990s, says to do so with the water and blood from Jesus' Heart.

REMEMBER THAT AFRER JESUS CAME WE ARE NOT BORN FROM WATER BUT FROM THE SPIRIT AS THE BIBLE SAYS....THATS WHY PROTESTANTS NEED A POOL TO BAPTIZE AND WE ONLY DO IR AS A LIL SYMBOL IN THE HEAD NOW.

Regarding your thoughts on career being a vocation for some— One thing I’ve found interesting is that is years past, this career focus was often connected to a religious vocation. Today we might hear of a woman who is very dedicated to being a nurse or a teacher and doesn’t think she has time for a family, but in years past the teachers and nurses in the Catholic-founded schools and hospitals were religious sisters. Even today, especially in parts of the Dominic Order, for instance, there are priests who are dedicated to study and get a doctorate and spend their whole lives teaching. I don’t think career has to be an additional vocation; within a Catholic understanding, maybe it should be part of a religious vocation.

Please give Biblical proof of this doctrine - book, chapter and verse.

I’m curious why?
In Acts 8:14-16 it tells of the word of God reaching Samaria and many had been baptized yet the Holy Spirit had not fallen on any of them yet. I know we are commanded to be baptized but I don’t think if you are unable it determines salvation. It seems as though here in Acts they were clearly baptized but not yet saved. Just curious what the thoughts are in this?

What about baptism by desire? If you parents intended to baptise the baby wouldn't that count.
However I see their point with the frozen embryos. However it's likely the parents won't let anyone near the frozen babies for any reason

Is there any account of a person being baptized against their will or without their permission/knowledge in Scripture?

Baptism likely needs at least a partial understanding on the part of the person being baptized. Not to be too dogmatic abut it, however, I suspect that it is not akin to a magical incantation by a witch doctor.

My question is because at that point a certain level of conscientiousness is present if the death of the soul were to occur do we not teach that it is a baptism by blood or by desire I'm genuinely curious on this one

How can you baptize in utero when you can’t touch the baby with the Holy Water?
