Just to add to your points, alloy wheel can be repaired to some extent even if it incurs a COST but steel wheels CANNOT be repaired once they are bent (an absolutely futile effort that will yield no positive results anyway).

The Good news is that you can buy another fresh set of steel wheels since they are cheaper. The bad news is that alloys wheels cannot ALWAYS be repaired and are not sold separately (you might need to buy the full set even for one wheel damaged)

Yes alloy wheels aren’t repairable but it’s really tough to break one if it’s an OEM or a reputed brand.. there’s a nasty pothole near manesar on the highway.. when my car went through it the tyre burst but the alloy was intact whereas other cars which had steel rims bent and were unusable.. so they had to pay for the tyre as well as the repair.. and if you repair a steel rim it can’t go back to it’s original shape .. so alloys are better
