Grind Leetcode or Build Projects?

The decision is easier than people think, If you are directionless grind competitive programming, not just leetcode, do codeforces too. If you know what you wanna build, if you are creative and have ideas that you wanna implement do projects. Dont wait for inspiration or motivation for projects, In that case you are better off chasing a fixed target like competitive programming, wish i knew this a couple of years ago

Why leetcode? to do DSA, why DSA in interview, has anybody used this in real project? Most of the times we are not using DSA on real projects, its ony used to eliminate people from Interview process. If u r not building libraries or working in making compilers or interpreter, in day to day life DSA is not required . Most of the times we are USING libraries, not creating it.

If you only have time for one, choose projects. Recruiters are more interested in what you've done and what projects you build that solve real-world problems. If you're getting interviews and have some stand out projects try grinding leetcode. Not every company uses leetcode. My last job that i held did not test me on coding problems, just coding knowledge and work experience. That was in 2022 though. If you want to work in Big Tech, you gotta have both. Startups, you certainly will need strong projects and development skills.

Hii sir. I had started doing Leetcode n its going to be a month soon. I had followed what you'd said about learning binary sort by implementing bisect left n right module. It was really helpful ! It would be nice if you could also tell if there is something like that for Recursion or that is it only by doing more questions ?
