And she's an executive producer of the movie and others, and i can probably say all the others executives are also behind this, as the violation of contract also affects them. And it is their right to get the deal percentage of the box office earnings. So Disney is cutting their payments and it must be settled.

I've heard Disney's unilateral decision cost Scarlett $50 million (she was paid $20 million, but was cut out of the streaming money and lost her 'back end' money from the theatrical run).

So they breached contract and didn't even try to renegotiate it resulting in her losing a lot of money. Disney is 100% wrong, imagine there are people out here calling her money hungry as if they wouldn't do the same

She is right to at least ask that Premier Access revenue be added to Box Office takings as this was a change of release protocol that came after her contract was made. Disney shouldn't fight it but rather settle out of court.

You can bet that the Disney Execs got a bonus out of it at SJ’s expense (and probably half or more of everyone else on the film) by linking the actors pay to the theatrical ticket sells, while releasing it simultaneously on their streaming service which also saves the mouse the normal expenses attached to theatrical distribution.

SJ’s claim was that they were promised an exclusive theatrical premier rather than simultaneously being released on the streaming service. Thereby undercutting how well the movie could’ve done at the box office… and her pay.

Disney’s counter is that she’s not taking the COVID pandemic as seriously as they are. If they were SO concerned, then why do a theatrical release at all? What it says is that they knew that they we’re screwing her over.
