She's right, it takes time, wisdom, getting older, experiences to realise what you really want in a partner. I always loved funny men, that's what i went for when i was in my teens. Them being a kind person didn't seem to matter too much to me back then. Then i realised i needed a kind person in my life, the one i have is still hilarious but without putting everyone around them down. Learn from my mistake if you can.
