You learned how to use Distribute to Layers, benefits of using Distribute to Layers, how to create a motion tween, about frames per second, how to make a motion tween automatically create keyframes, how to insert a keyframe, how to use the Alpha setting to make an object fade in, how to hide and unhide contents of layers, what motion presets are, how to access motion presets, and how to apply a motion preset to an object so that its current position is where the motion preset ends.
Bullet points:
• Distribute to Layers
• Motion tweens
• Frames per second
• Animating Alpha
• Hide and unhide contents of layers
• Motion presets
• How to apply a motion preset so that an object’s current position is where the motion preset ends

We’re animating some text on a birthday cake. The text has been converted into individual symbols to be animated separately. Select the three words and distribute them to different layers by going to Modify & Timeline & Distribute to Layers. You’ll want to delete the original layer that’s now empty. Using Distribute to Layers is pretty handy for putting text, symbols, or named instances on separate layers because Animate will automatically name the new layers for you.
