Absolutely love it! She's a peach 🍑 I daily drive my 03 Tacoma S.A.Swap on ALCAN Leaf Springs, and I wouldn't have it any other way, except, I wish I would have went with tons off the bat! Although she drives great on my front hybrid Jeep/Chevy Hybrid Axle and Factory 4 cylinder rear with a TruTrac and 38s with Factory 4.56 gears ⚙️ and a Auto! Yes, 38x13.5x17s, and an Automatic transmission! I drive hundreds of miles every week and for now, 4.46 gears, of course, I live on Long Island, and if you don't know where that is, it's not far from NYC and close to Offroad Hell! There is none! We are regulars at Rausch Creek PA offroad park, TG for Rausch and AOAA! And no trailer! Been wheeling for over 20 years, and I've never had a trailer! And now that I've come to my senses and converted from being a "Jeep Sheep 🐑 " And now drive the most dependable brand on earth and possibly the galaxy? Toyota! My 2.7 is a pleasure to work on, just realized that after installing my LCE header, so well engineered! Unlike a giant mistake like the brand new lifted high end suspension Gladiator that wobbled past me a few months ago 😂 My Oldschool Leaf Spring Yota doesn't Wobble! And will offroad all day with the AC on! Next project is the 1 tons from the F350 V10 4x4 that's sitting next to her. With 27, 000 Local H.S. miles. 5.39, Detroits F&B (I'm really not fancy) Leafs, etc! And I will be using whatever I need from WFO, not POS T.G. garbage 🗑 Nope this time, it's getting done right! Coming from the Jeep world, I really didn't have a clue about S.A.Swap Toyotas? I'm literally the only Solid Axle Tacoma on Long Island NY! Seriously, me and a 4RUNNER about 60 miles east of me, so pretty much nada! But there has to be at least 20 billion jeeps! From Manhattan to Montauk! They're Everywhere! I get it, I've owned around 20 Jeeps, they're easy to build and super capable, but did we get into offroad for easy? Seriously, people do something different and original! For the love of God! 😅 Anyhow, sorry for the long comment, but I just love S.A.Swap Toyotas! Dependable, Reliable, and stupid Capable! And I ain't going back! Fk being a sheep 🐑

I’m building a 3rd gen with a turbocharged 1uz and have been tossing around the pros and cons of LC80 front and rear axles vs going super duty.

Do you think you’d still have to trim fenders if you just went with 35s on the SD axles? I know it seems like a waste, but with goals of around 900hp, I’m thinking I could use the strength. Just really don’t want to cut into the body, which will sacrifice some uptravel.

Naw my 3rd gen 4Runner has leafs all around with a tg front axle so I can retain my Toyota 3rd members and my 4Runner has 360k on the og motor and trans I only run 35s with 4.88 gears tho that way I can daily it if needed
