101 Dalmatians is a 1996 American comedy adventure film. The film is a live action adaptation of Walt Disney's 1961 animated film of the same name, itself an adaptation of Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Anita, a fashion designer, and Roger, a computer game writer, have to rescue the puppies of their dalmatians from Cruella De Vil, an insane woman, who wants to use their fur to make a coat.

The fact that Pongo and Perdita ran out on their own adventure to save their puppies from a devil such as Cruella never ceases to amaze me. I love how independent and brave they are, especially when relying on other dogs for their help finding the puppies.

I've watched this movie and the animated version soooo many times when I was a kid. 101 Dalmatians is my favorite Disney movie, I knew all the lines in the animated version. Watching this as an adult makes me appreciate how real this movie is. The animals are real animals, not crappy CGI like in the new Lion King. The dogs bark as they do in real life, but they deliver every "line" perfectly. This is what movies should be like.

Anyone notice the date on the paper in wrong? Dec 13th fell on a Friday in 1996, they used the 1995 December calendar and changed the year for the year the film is released.
