As a native Texan, please stop. In the small town where I was raised and still live, I personally know two different California couples who moved here and bought several houses only to turn them into B&Bs or rental houses with rent prices rivaling city markets. This has driven up our property taxes and turned our communities into tourist attractions. There's nothing out here, and soon locals won't be able to afford to live here anymore. Average rent is several hundred dollars more than my mortgage. This is ridiculous, and we’re over it.

I live in Austin, and the daily temperature since early June has been 100-106 degrees if you ignore the heat index. It’s also really expensive in Austin. If you want to move to Texas, you need the money to pay for AC because you’re not going anywhere in this heat. Mild weather? It’s hot as hell in DFW for four months out of the year!

With everyone moving to Texas, many of those things listed are rapidly disappearing.

Born and raised in Texas and now living in Oregon, I can honestly say that living on the West Coast is so expensive that just trying to save enough money to move back to Texas has been the hardest financial trial of my life.

I definitely agree with this video! I moved to Plano, Texas, about five years ago and never looked back. I have stayed because of the great weather, many job opportunities, the close Carnival Cruise port, and the above-average school district. It’s just an awesome place to raise children. I moved from Indianapolis, by the way.

I’m looking at 5, 000 sq ft Mansions New Construction and will be paying a good amount in taxes and I don’t have any children so I’m dropping a lot in taxes & not utilizing the school systems nor government money. I Am hiring a GM & Executive Assistant. I’m looking for a great place to put a showroom, a showroom that’s at least 10, 000 sq ft
