'We Belong Together' - Ritchie Valens

This song holds a very special place in my heart. I remember first hearing it after watching La Bamba as a kid with my family. The story of Ritchie Valenzuela was a staple in my household and I can proudly say this song was a huge inspiration on why I wanted to become a crooner. It was one of the first songs I learned to sing as a boy. I still tear up when I think about that last scene in the movie when Bob is running up the hill. I hope everyone is holding up okay and staying as strong and positive as they can during this difficult time for humanity. Thank you so much for your continuous support. I’ll keep sending out my love through my music and singing y’all all of my favorite songs.

found out this morning that he has less than six months to live. His cancer has spread
to his lungs, lymph nodes, and possibly his bones. I am going to send him this song. I
