Would it not have been easier to turn the lower half of the shock 90 degrees? As the LCA doesnt really move forward and backwards much? You wouldn't have to worry about the miss alignment spacers.

Might of just been the angle of the camera but is the hub centered in the fender or further back?

Just curious, couldnt you have made a bracket for the spring cup and turn the lower shock bracket in line with the half shaft to eliminate any binding with a arm travel?
