Hopefully they'll find some ways for new players to get materials earlier for characters from different regions. You can only level up them to lv40 if their materials are lock behind quests, after that you have 2 choices: not speed run quests and not using them (if the region for materials is too far) or speed run everything to get access to the materials.
I remember getting Kokomi when I first play the game. Only able to level up her to 40 and stuck there. But because I used her for healing, I get away with low level and didn't have to speed run anything. It probably would be bad if it's a dps character, my dps at the end of Liyue quest is already lv60-70

This is why wondering traders from other regions that trade boss drops and character ascension materials is basically essential for late game genshin.

Imagine players starting this game a year after today, they will probably need around 6-8 months just to reach f10. Considering that rewards and buffs being the same and difficulty and annoyance increasing by 10-15% every patch from 1.3 onwards.

Note: Once you on Mondstadt or Liyue, Just Wish Mondstadt Characters or Liyue Characters... If you want it Inazuma Characters, Speedrun it the Beginning to Inazuma Story Arc... (Plus, Complete the World Mission to unlock Ekanomiya.... And Boss too)

I can confirm that it is better to not speedrun at all and just not care about leveling up the character until you get their. Way more enjoyable.

Yeah it's gonna suck pulling on banners for new players gonna take them at least a month if their casual to finish Just the Inazuma story quests

I joined 3 weeks ago and from my 2nd day, I got zhongli from 13 pulls and I made the national team (got xiangling on my first 10x pull on noelle banner, xq from ganyu/zhongli banner, and bennett from standard pull) during the journey. The journey was so fast because of how easy it was to rush with a character removing one of difficulties; dodging doesn't matter because of how overpowered zhongli shield is. I got to ar40 after 1 and a half week in the game. I kinda regret rushing the contents because right now, I'm stuck on ar43 without much contents for my level. I'm currently on my 3rd week just doing daily commissions till ar45. If I may know in the comments what I can do to farm exp? I haven't done the quests from npcs because I'm not sure if they give alot of exp
