Thanks for your videos/lessons which are a great and fun way of learning watchmaking...

I would like to request some lessons regarding mainsprings...

1. Tips and tricks to install brand-new ones
2. Cleaning and reinstalling them using winders
3. Which are the most used Bergeon winders for Omega 550, 65X, 75X
4. Problems associated with wrong/damaged mainsprings like rebanking or very high/low amplitude and graphs on time-graphs.
5. Selection of correct/right mainsprings (are NOS worth using?, best aftermarket mainsprings makers...)

Thanks and regards from Venezuela

I used to receive quite a few rusted mechanical watches working near the coast, sea water acts so quickly on metal far quicker than fresh water due to salt. With the watch you are restoring having a square case is prone in letting dirt and water in, it is far more vulnerable than a round case. One thing I always did first I would oil all the train; I found this helped if power was in the spring when I removed the pallets. You seem very confident in replacing parts, I assume parts are available or will you have to make them.
