Some great flea market finds. Actually never thought about hitting some flea markets/antique mall in my neck of the woods but something that is on my radar now. Of course that is when we can be free again if you know what I mean. Had a hard time stopping the laughter after the shot of the comic book with the cat and the gun LOL. Thanks again, Brian.

Since I ran an auction company for a dozen years, this is my favourite of your videos.

Personally, I would've had that Windshield replaced first. 😂✌️

Before trying to change a movement on a vintage watch take it to a watch maker for it to be serviced because more often than not these vintage watches just need to be serviced to be brought back to life and also because it keeps the piece original. Interesting video and thanks for sharing

My best flea market watch find was a 1947 Patek Philippe $15.. sold it on eBay for parts or repair $3069.. Payed $25 a couple years ago for a woman's Rolex..sold it.

Good haul. Hamilton and Gruen along with other American brands like Elgin are rather rare in my area. In 2005 when I started going broke, the prices at fleamarkets and thrift shops were much lower, but its still possible to get a good deal. The Gruen looks like it has seen a lot, the patina is charming in its own way, why did the hands collide with the dial 50 years ago, etc. The Fortis is an interesting project. If you dont mind a frankenwatch, there are many options - if its impossible to find a bezel, find another Valjoux 7733 case. Speidel bracelets are very good quality for the time, but generally old aftermarket bracelets are not worth much. I dont think that the Milos was born as a ladies watch - 30 mm mens watches were not a rarity then. I would say that this piece could be from the 50's. Strap probably made of a lizard that died in the late 1800's.

They Fortis was a steal. I’d rock that! Can’t believe you also found that Hamilton too. Nice finds.

I have three vintage Timex's from the same thrift shop one is 55 years old one is 45 and one is 42 years old all are in perfect shape and all work just fine, they take a licking and keep on ticking ! They cost $29.00 Canadian each .

Pretty good finds... I like the second the Fortis, the gruen and second Hamilton... a shame the second Hamilton was buffed off it's whole plating. Nice video, I knew the Fortis would be the one 👍

Really enjoyed the wife's autobiography joke. You really do have a fresh take on the YT watch review genre. Keep it up! At least until we get all Mad Max out there in the world.

That is nice, the Fortis chrono is usually go for $600-700 fully functional in good condition, don't get carried away by the eBay's greedy idiots with crazy priced lots that hanging there for years)))

$75 for the Fortis that would not work when you got it is a bit of a risk ... glad it worked out ... lovely design on it. How likely is it to pick up a vintage bezel to complete it? Great condition of the watch dial. If you get it working right it will be the best pick up out of the group.

The gold 1970s Hamilton would look really good with a brown croc skin strap.

The fortis is sweet. A little polywatch on the crystal and she'll look pretty good.

I've got a couple of vintage watches last week, one auto and one manual, both around the 70s and both run fine, but I specifically asked if they had been serviced or if they were in good working conditions. Honestly I love vintage watches but if you get them and hope you'll be able to fix them or have them serviced for cheap you're gonna be in trouble.
