Brush is Transparent (SOLVED!) | Photoshop

Problem: when you're painting with a brush, the strokes appear to be transparent.

For people who did all the suggestions but the problem is still not fixed, you can switch off Pressure for Opacity, it's on the right side of the Opacity Option. I tried and it worked.

Okay, so what I would now like to know is how I can turn it both on when I need it, and off when I don't! How did it turn on in the first place!

The transparency tool can be useful, I just don't want the damn thing on all of the time!

Great video....but after I followed your instructions, the brush longer worked at all. Instead of being able to choose brush settings from the brush roll-down, the info there stated that I needed a Brush Preset. I fumbled for a bit and I have managed to create a preset. The brush works again. Yippee! Is this a new Adobe "feature"?

I did all of these which are all fantastic options, but it still didn’t work, my layer masks weren’t hiding when I was painting black, at least I thought I was painting black… the issue was the black wasn’t quite totally black… I hit d to default the black and white and suddenly all was fixed I’m leaving this here incase it helps someone else in similar position
