The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 & 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 (𝐄𝐍𝐓) at 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 recently conducted 𝟓𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩—𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐚, which brought together leading experts for insightful discussions on advancements in cochlear implantation techniques &innovations in hearing care.

The CME was inaugurated with ceremonial lamp lighting by 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Chairman SRMS Trust; 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Director Administration & Guest of Honor, 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐤 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚, Ex-HOD, PGI Chandigarh & Director ENT at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐒 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐚, Principal IMS; 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, Professor& Head, ENT Department, IMS; 𝐃𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠, Dean UG; 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐚 & 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐚, Associate Professors, Department of ENT, IMS were also present among other dignitaries.

The academic feast began with case-based surgical demonstration on Cochlear Implant by 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, who further spoke on implantation in inner ear deformities. An enriching lecture was delivered on ‘Otoplan &Audiology in CI’ by 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭, Senior Audiologist from MED-EL—world’s leading hearing implant company. Thereafter, 𝐃𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐊 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, Professor & Head, LLRM, Meerut & 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐚 shared insights on ‘Radiology in Cochlear Implantation’ &‘Candidacy for Cochlear Implant Surgery’ each. Soon after Chairman’s address, 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐤 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚 spoke on minimizing complications &maximizing outcomes in Cochlear Implant. He also gave knowledgeable insights into attitude & practice towards Cochlear Implantation. Later, he also delivered case-based hands-on surgery session. Towards the end, 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢 felicitated all the delegates & faculties with memento.
