Simple rules:
1. Use Ceramic capacitors
2. If you can't find a suitable ceramic capacitor, use a film capacitor
3. If you can't find a suitable film capacitor, use an aluminium electrolytic capacitor

Thank you very much for the knowledge I received from you! I am a 70-year-old electrical engineer (and sound engineer). I live in Hungary. I graduated from "electronic components and device manufacturing" nearly 50 years ago. Before that, we also learned a lot about this subject in the technical school. The "hidden" parameters of capacitors are very important in audio technology! I measure these in every application. (I have a well-equipped laboratory, with instruments worth a luxury car.) Since it is also my hobby, I did not stop working. I mainly make the hi-fi (high-end) audio equipment of many of my friends much better. It is shocking to me that in many hi-end speakers, well-known manufacturers use bipolar electrolytic capacitors in the crossover circuits. I always replace them with induction-free foil capacitors. I recently read a colleague's opinion that electrolytic capacitors can be used up to a maximum frequency of 1 KHz! But even tantalum capacitors distort a lot at audio frequencies! When examined with an oscilloscope (x-y diagram), an "o-ring" is visible, not a sloping line! I wish you much success and good health in your further work!

I'd choose both. Since they are complementary.

It's got electrolytes. It's what circuits crave!

So funny story the aluminum electrictic capacitor is what I have inside of my electric unicycle which was stored in the back of my car on a very cold morning I pulled it out turned it on and decided to use it to move quickly to another portion of our warehouse.. I happened to get about 15 20 ft until I found myself flying through the air and onto the concrete floor because it turned off( or never fully turned on) thank you for this I knew it had to do with the cold I'm sure it had an effect on the battery as well either way great video thank you

Thanks for the information.
Low impedance in high frequency range, a point to note.

I chose a super capacitor because it's super

"Flim capacitor propaganda"
- aluminium capacitor

yes the frequency behaviour is why audiophiles prefer film caps as coupling capacitor

Id chose what ever is measured in kilo farad.

It's because of the electrolytes. Aluminum capacitors have what plants crave.

Why would you want higher ripple current?

Smelly explosive corrosive quaternary ammonium electrolytic capacitors be like 😝

It is interesting. Please share the source used for comparision..Thank you

I never deal with hi voltage, for me both are good.

so it's deemed to lose the electrolytes

Flim cap also have ac and dc cap? Then how to know which one is? Like audio cap and the ac motor starter or something caps?

You rarely use an aluminium electrolytic unless a film (or other non-electrolytic) of the same voltage and capacitance would be too large to be used.

drop aluminum electrolyte caps every time

Lil asian bro here heard the translation is “film” capacitor and thought it made sense to add old film movie music to the background 🤣
