Hollan Chapman, 30, shares her battle with small cell carcinoma of the ovary. Her journey began in November 2023 with severe abdominal pain and bloating, initially dismissed as a UTI or stomach virus. After multiple ER visits, a large mass and 19 pounds of fluid were discovered in her abdomen, leading to a cancer diagnosis.

I survived clear cell carcinoma ( kidney) and you can too. I went to the ER and was told I was drug seeking!!! Advocate for yourself, never allow them to dismiss you!! Sending love hugs and prayers 🙏

It’s crazy that in 2024, it’s seemingly so hard for doctors to diagnose accurately.
I hope you are doing well. ❤

I'm a 20 year survivor of Ovarian Cancer. I was told in ER to take laxatives. Can't believe women are getting still misdiagnosed. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Stay strong ❤

For six years I also was gaslighted and treated cruelly by the medical community. Stay strong. Give yourself credit for your perseverance. You are beautiful. Your body will eventually return to what you remember, but better. You are not alone. It's a hard fight but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is hope. Continue to advocate for your own health care. Sometimes you gotta just seize the day - moment by moment. Don't forget to take pictures so you can look back and be proud of your successes. 🙋🏼‍♀️💕

I am so sorry, our medical staff is the best these days.
I had bone cancer in my leg a long time ago and they told my parents it was growing pains. To later have it removed. May you recover and feel better quickly!

Thankfully you have survived. This makes me sad and angry. I am an 11 year cancer survivor. You are providing a service to others with your video. Keep up the good work. You know your body. I tell women all the time pap smears do not detect ovarian cancer. CA125 is our friend.

Sending strength and positivity. I'm so sorry you had to fight so hard for a diagnosis only to then have to fight even harder for your health. Hang in there, and I hope you have good news soon.

I hate how Dr.s dismiss people's intuition, especially a young person. Dr's need to start listening and taking action.

I survived colorectal cancer that had spread to a lymph node. For two years I begged my doctor to give me a Petscan. No dice. I switched to a different Dr in the same practice and he had the look of fear on his face. I immediately was sent to an oncologist and she referred me to a colorectal surgeon. I finally got the pain medication I desperately needed and I was diagnose with stage 3 cancer. I got very aggressive radiation and at the same time I had chemotherapy. I was so sick that I thought it might be better to die. 3 months after my treatments I am now cancer free. Not a cell in sight. Now I have to get off the pain medication and it’s difficult but so worth it. Hang in there people. Try and have a positive attitude and be proactive when it comes to your health. Love you all ❤

I’m so sorry that you were dismissed over and over. This is a tragedy in our health care system. I hope and pray you are receiving the care you deserve and need. I’m a survivor and was diagnosed at 29 so I get you as a young woman being thrust into this world. I’m 30 yrs out, there’s great hope for you honey!! Be well
