Matric/Grade 12 Mathematics Past Paper 1 Question 2 Sequences and Series

In this video I cover Question 2 of the Matric 2020 math paper 1 past paper. This question is all about sequences and series. The key aspects in the video are the arithmetic sequence and the quadratic sequence. Remember arithmetic has a single common difference between each term whereas the quadratic has a second common difference. Remember that for the quadratic sequence the first common difference produces an arithmetic sequence that is n-1 in length compared to the actual sequence. Finally, we look at the arithmetic series. This is the sum of the first n terms.
