Should I Update Waves Plugins Every Year

I would make one suggestion however, and this is not due to any affiliation with Waves or whatever but more of a friendly advice, since I noticed that the other video is still public and it looks like you're giving two completely different approaches towards this over the same yt channel, like for instance in one video it seems like you must update and pay every year and on the other it's up to you and you don't really have too. As a long time Waves user, I understand this but it might look confusing if you're new to the whole Waves thingy. I'd personally choose to unlist or set it to private to avoid confusion but up to you man 😅anyways, good job on this explanation bro.

I don’t think there is anything special about the Waves plugins, there are others out there which are just as good or better and without the Upgrade Plan.
I recently upgraded my hardware and OS - 75% of my waves plugins require updating. ALL my plugins from other manufacturers installed and worked without any issues.
It’s not worth it. Lesson learned.

So I have a iMac 27. If I update to Big Sur in a year for example, none of my diamond bundle plugins will work if
I don’t pay money to update them after I download bigsur ?

Hi, what should happened if I buy a bundle and install it on 3 different machines like 2 Mac with Catalina and one with Windows 10? I mean, plugins should be downloaded by the Waves Central using my credentials, but after watching your video I'd say that waves is checking that machines are different, right? I think I miss something. I'd like buying some plugins but now I'm kinda in fear, I don't want to pay more for something that I've already paid.

Good thing that I am on windows and only have Codex. On Mac it is worse because major os updates are much more frequent. However I had plans to buy Elements and Flowmotion but now I don't want to because of this plan.

All in all, I'm pretty neutral towars Waves. You usually get a great deal if you wait a while for a Bundle deal. And like I said, I'm a happy PC camper. I couldn't care less how many times Apple changes from architecture to architecture to cause problems for their users.

Not sure why updating your computer you have to pay for waves plugins again? Once you pay for them they are yours correct? You should only have to pay again if you want a new version.

I'm also finished, just updated to Catalina, got crashs only with some Waves plugs while they are on V10/V11. I don't like their politics, paid a lot! No other company does that.
