This was not just a YouTube video. It was a work of art. A cinematic adventure. Fresh, uplifting, really felt like I was there. And the sunflowers… oh the sunflowers :) tysm Bernardo

I did 6 weeks cycling in Portugal and Spain 40+ years ago with my wife. Your trip brought back a lot of special memories to me. You're right about the people you meet along the way. Thanks Bernardo.

When I was 23 in the late 1990s I cycled from England down through France, Spain and Morocco to the edge of the Sahara. I did the same as you in this video, same kind of panniers, slept under the stars, saw great things and met great people, and all with the power of legs!
Now I'm married and a father, so it's good to see your video with my wife and start to think, hmm 🤔 maybe time to dust off the panniers again and take the family this time👍

Some people living in Europe take this for granted because it's normal for them, but you live in the most gorgeous place on earth.

I cycled from Ayia Napa in Cyprus to Calais in Northern France. The year was 2012, I rode through, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Monaco and France. The longest I cycled in one day was in France, 183km. The whole trip was 5, 500kms or 3, 300mls. I was still just at the age of 42 yrs. Wow what an adventure! I'm 54yrs now. I have since owned to boats, but my second is going to take me around the world! Great to know another one in a million adventurer!!! 👍

I can't thank you enough for this video. When I turned 18 I grabbed my bike and went on a very similar trip (even trough some of the exact same places) through France and Spain on the Camino. It was such a life-changing experience. You just brought me back. It's like I was there again. And that is invaluable...

I also filmed my trip, but it's been almost 2 years and I still didn't manage to tell my story. You made me cry with this piece of art. So genuine. So true. I can vouch for everything you said, I experienced it, and it's like nothing else... I'm gonna go and edit my video from the trip now. Thank you once more 🥹

I took a simiiar trip some years back Denmark to Greece and it feels so similar to yours, biking through more than 14 countries in the end. The amount of random encounters with people on their own journeys was so frequent and inspiring. I met a guy in Croatia who had biked from china on a self-made bamboo bike. The world is amazing and to all of you people who thinks this was just a lucky chance his trip became this amazing. Its really not, the world is full of wonders and people to meet and I can only encourage everyone whos on the fence to try it.

Thanks for the video, I will most certainly make another trip now.

Hello Bernardo! This video made me cry, you saw so much on your journey and met people, visited different places, it’s so cool! But when it was all over, I remembered those whom you met along the way, with whom you had heart-to-heart conversations during these 38 days, it touched my soul. Good luck and success in life, you are a very kind, positive person! May God give you great goodness for your heart of gold! I’m writing from Kazakhstan, random person

Hey Bernardo,
I have lived in France for 20 years and I came across your video by accident.
The first town that you passed through after arriving in France on your video was Bricquebec, the town with the castle at the end of the high street.
That's where I live.
Amazing that you did this wonderful journey in the hottest summer for decades. Well done young man, lovely video.

This is so beautiful! I am halfway through your film and I realise how much I admire your relationship with yourself. I've been travelling alone, too, for 10 months, but a lot of the time I spend with anxiety, thinking "Am I doing the right thing?" "Did I book the right thing?" "Did I spend too much?" or when I'd be on the ferry, for example, I would be afraid going on deck because a part of me would be afraid someone would tell me that I wasn't allowed there, or that I would look stupid half of the time of my trip being by myself in restaurants, bars and places. My trip will continue in a few, and I would LOVE to adopt your comfort with yourself and your relationship to the world with so much enthusiasm, trust and vitality! You are the best.
