I think this section from ~4:00 to 5:30 is not realistic. Having these really integrated SoCs in the iphone and apple watch was really important and a great thing because there is so little space to put things, and these computers also need to be power efficient and somewhat good performance. So it makes great sense to make a SoC for the apple watch, because combining a lot of computer parts together into one smaller computer actually helps make it smaller, more power efficient, and higher performance.
But for cars you have a ton of space, and a larger battery that is there for driving already. It would be fine to use an off the shelf gaming pc or server to run your self-driving software on.

Most of the computers in cars are just small microcontrollers that are very different from the SoCs Apple makes, those can be used for not so many applications but they include automated driving and user interface.
