You might have noticed that this girl was riding around with a mic and a recorder in her pocket. It was because Nastya wanted to be professional and record a good sound. But the recorder betrayed Nastya and didn't record anything, so Nastya had a mental breakdown

A little backstage for you, let’s say 🥰

rip recorder (I threw it against the wall)

I am a native New Yorker, USA grew up in the biggest city! My life was similar to yours but with concrete, very little grass, and tons of people!! I love your little village and simple living life. Now that I am almost 80 I think I missed somethings!! 👍🏻💕

This was absolutely delightful. I enjoyed Nastya's clever, self-deprecating and often very funny commentary and I laughed out loud several times. I was surprised at the sound of my laughter and realized that I haven't actually laughed for several months. Thank you, Nastya!

I've visited Russia five times, but I've never been to a village. I love the Soviet lifestyle, village house concepts, and traditions. Thank you for the video.

Honestly, this little video depicts a little slice of paradise. It's strange how people can become so lost in metropolitan life. But anytime someone leaves the city and goes back to their small town home, they just know that's what their soul needed.

I had to rewatch this a few times. 😅 there is so much eye candy. It is kinda melancholy to see how small villages are slowly depreciating. There is some truth of how small towns/villages end up being abandoned because of the network of the economy can do to them and where their role is in the country. We should normalize living in smaller towns/villages for a quieter life as there are is still so much positives in living in one. Now with you and the young generation that keep it alive by returning home really hits a deep heartfelt feeling. I currently live in the city but I hope to one day live out in the countryside as it really is more peaceful to be closer to nature and nourishing a small and great community. Btw great pick on the ending song clair de lune.

Thank you for taking us on a tour of small town Russia. I grew up in small town America, and I lived in small towns most of my 60 years of life. I have lived in many small towns, and none of them were as quaint yet well developed as your small town. Most American small towns lack most of the amenities that your town has. No hospitals, no community college, sometimes no schools, no public transit, no daily public market, no community center, no cultural centers, very few home food gardens (often there are laws against them). Usually, there are public markets on Saturdays during the summer. The schools will always have chain link fence like what prisons have because too many kids get abducted or hit by cars. There is much less commerce. There are few, if any, single-proprietor grocery stores, and they are usually Mexican stores. Every American small town has too many bars. At least one bar per 800 people and a number of churches that equal the number of bars, and an equal number of gas stations which always sell a little of every commercial product type. There are no more single proprietor gas stations. They were all taken away in the 90's. Now all gas stations are major corporate chains, but when I was young, there was at least one gas station per town owned by a local. If Americans had known what towns across the developed world were like, maybe they would have insisted on better. Until the 90's almost every small town had a small industrial park with a dozen or two small manufacturing businesses, but they are mostly gone now because no one can compete against Chinese imports and all the American companies that moved to Mexico which has cheap labor and no rules against pollution and environmental destruction (which factory owners crave). All small towns have a main street with stores, but since the pandemic, many of them are closed now or they sell stupid stuff that most people don't want to buy like sports team memorabilia or fancy dress resale shops, and there are the overpriced cafes for the rich people of each town or the people with disposable income who don't know how to cook. There is one Wallmart near one town in every 4 small towns and everyone must rely on it for everything, cuzz there is no where else to go. Teens often go to Wallmart to hang out or steal because they are bored. There is no spirit of general welfare of the community and there is always a group standing in the way of reasonable social progress or reasonable non corporate commercial progress. There will be one major manufacturer close by that will control local government and stifle competition for labor in order to keep wages lower than real free markets would support otherwise. Corporate capitalism has an iron clad strangle hold of every level of government snuffing out the aspirations of communities and individuals. If your community doesn't have a corporate hierarchy, KEEP THEM OUT. They will destroy your community.
