"500 dollar GPU".. "We do this all the time!".... What GPU does he speak off?!?!?

The privacy concern with Recall is that the data is stored locally... for now. We don't trust Microsoft to not eventually attempt to collect and monetize that data. We don't trust their ability to secure that data, be it if it is stored locally or they do start collecting it. Data collection is out of control, and this is just another way for them to improve that. You're naive if you really don't see how this is a privacy concern.

I love you guys and what you do (as well as how you do it), so I really do appreciate your insights and commentary (here and elsewhere) -- but the more I listened to Jensen, the less interested I became in "what's next" from NVIDIA in terms of consumer-oriented products.

I'm a dirt-poor bottom feeder who buys my build components when they're 2-3 generations old (currently 12th gen Intel CPUs paired with 600 series chipsets, etc), when they're much cheaper, and getting ready to disappear from the market -- and it all serves me well (so far; FOMO is a thing, but it's not *my* thing. 😝)

I also don't need AI in my rig (from any manufacturer -- although I'm not necessarily averse to it), because I see it as technology that big tech is desperate to entice me into buying from them, simply for the sake of enriching themselves and and their shareholders.

With this in mind, I'm moving on to AMD for my next GPU purchase (I currently own a 3060 ti and an Intel ARC A770; I won't be buying anything in NVIDIA's 40 series, much less their 50 series), while I wait for Intel's Battlemage lineup to drop.

Thanks for the look-see (and I hope you've gotten some shut-eye by the time you read this).👍🏼

Since AAA games take about half a decade to actually come to fruition and the vast majority are designed for consoles specifically the PS5 simply because of marketshare then ported with few PC ports getting the attention they deserve, 60fps locked as an example, all of this AI in games and these other features sound great but in reality we're at least a console generation away from seeing this in any form in mainstream gaming and more than likely it's two generations away, absolutely no incentive to buy for that reason alone. Especially since the gaming industry it's currently undergoing it's third "depression" since I've been gaming.

Listening to Jensen speak on all the sectors where Nvidia's technology is innovating on a revolutionary scale, it's no wonder gaming GPU is becoming a mere afterthought.

08:40 : ""little bit overblown"" ????
So the fact that you might take to a repair-store(like you said) your PC, and then you gamble on whether or not someone will(CAN) steal ALL your security passwords, is "little bit overblown" to you ?
Do you know how many times in the past (when i was younger) i went to a repair-store for PC help ??
( how can someone from now on do something like that again if there is such a danger ? )
*edit* : oh and by the way i forgot, do you know how many times in my work people use a work-PC to login somewhere and logout later ?
from now on, how someone can do such things if all the passwords are stored locally and potentially anyone can take them and sell them to the dark web or whatever else ?

Double standard?? I suddenly can't take anything this guy says seriously. We don't use our pcs the way we use our phones. It's not a double standard against Microsoft.

this is great but will it help reach world peace, eliminate poverty, reach real equality ...no. What it will do is make these corporations even more powerfull . A.I. will allow for depopulation efforts from the cabal to acelerate, it is happening now. the economy is fckd but big tech is flourishing

I'm just an old cynic who yearns for the good old days where games were made mostly in part by nerds for other nerds that both shared a passion for the art. Gaming was at its zenith whilst it remained a sub- culture imo, long before the men in suits saw the profits that could be exploited. It's a dying art form just like film making but I live in hope that perhaps A.I. will one day soon enable gaming to be returned to the imaginations of the individual, be it nerd or otherwise.

I'm still waiting for Nvidia to support mixed resolutions on Nvidia surround, but I'll probably died before that

Microsoft should fix core OS features first, then focus on extra. All the internet criticism was and still is valid. Who needs AI features from the corporation that cannot deliver working file search?
