CPU cooling with Peltier (TEC)?

I was wondering if it would be possible to use a Peltier device as a cpu cooler?
So i did it :). works fine but i dont recommend, there are some risks, the water is not good for a pc ^^.

I would love to see the results on a high end CPU

Thing is if you just used a proper mount in the first place you'd have a better result just from the larger heatsink

Hey bro that was a great video i think adding a fan to the heat sink didnt help initially since regular temps were not very high and the difference between ambient and heatsink temperature was not enough to result in cooling.

wouldn't the TEC need to be grounded? The heat sync just grounds the processors by converting their electric static to heat, then the TEC should take the heat and turn it into electricity, then ground the excess electricity. The static can be fixed in absolute zero, or if it were grounded, but you cant ground the processor directly or it would short circuit. - published 3/6/2020 - patent pending.

HOLY SHIT!!! You were spreading the termopaste on the pure crystall USING A SCREWDRIVER! That's really dangerous, you know?

That's incredibly much thermal paste, you're lucky not to fry something! :))

How do you know you are using too much thermal paste?, If you can sandwich something between the plates without having to reapply paste then you are using too much.

the only problem is the moisture become water between peltier and the cpu and it could hurt components, but until they find a way or some barricade we will see !

This is safe on electronic components on cpu, Motherboards??

Hi, I wanna do the same thing, but I will create a cooler with TEC. do you have any suggestions for more efficiency and more cooling? without any or with a little humidity. note: I saw many youtube videos but they are not what I want.

going to try an overclock sub 0 with a 300w tech big heat sink and 2 psu, s

Very interesting project. But air or water cooling is probably the best option.
