This was a pretty nice set. The Neutral B specially was really funny and fitting, and the Down B was a quite different take on a counter. Really excited to see more from this Lawl

I've kept up with with progress on your series, and since your Lawl is now part of the tier, I figured now was a good time to discuss this moveset.

This was a solid first moveset. Animation was smooth, Recap SpongeBob's moves were all funny, and you've got a great pick of characters. Though I will agree with Jokestar that there could have been a bit more of Cas von de pol's signature exaggerations, as all but the Neutral B reflect that. Not to mention, Final Smash feels to similar to Actual SpongeBob's. Still its a good set, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your Lawl.

As far as the rest of your roster goes, aside from Morgan (whose band I've only just found out existed today), and Super Cena (though I'd love to know his source as it looks interesting), I know everyone else, and I really can't wait to see Devil Mario, Muscle Man, Angry Grandpa, and Johnny Cage in action.

A very good start for your first moveset, I would say. The stage designs are pretty standard, the editing and the sprites are clean, and animations such as Muscle Man's normals are smooth, especially the jab and the side smash. (if glitched out for a moment there, but that doesn't detract from it)

As one of those people who seen you sharing your progress over the year on many servers, it makes me glad to see that there were many details and small issues that you improved upon as you finally make your debut in the community, which will get you far as you find your footing with right intentions and the proper mindset.

However, in my opinion... the set itself is too simple for Recap Spongebob.
As simplified as Cas' videos are, they're also *exaggerated* as both the best and the worst of a character's traits are brought out to make for a quick retelling of the original events; while the crude humor and violence provide contrast and subversion to the source material, or more accurately as _Bait and Switch._ A fast and more modern counterpart to Panchito Spongebob so to speak.

Though this is your first set and foremost, I can't help but think there's more potential to it that could be expanded upon.
I love all the effort still, and good luck to you on the next set.

Crazy to have a Spangolop set drop as I'm working on mine AND with the same choice of song for the set playing.
But I digress, this was a pretty solid start to your series. I do feel having 5 second cooldown on the Patty Wagon and Patrick is a bit much, but still pretty good nonetheless. Best of luck on the next Johnny on the chopping block (no potential pun intended).

Been meaning to comment on this set for a while, but you did a pretty good job, especially with the animation and idles in general. (And most hyped to see Muscle Man_.


Neutral Special feels like it takes way too long to have Plankton pop out (ESPECIALLY for shields, maybe just include the part with Plankton).

Just like Solar said, the Patty Wagon move could have been better. (Not usually a fan of Wario Bike moves, even after one of my movesets). Like it could be smaller and require less damage to be destroyed (IMO, 17% is too much).

But yeah, pretty decent set overall! It was definitely worth the long wait!

the thing i like: the animation

it's all smooth, the idles jumped out at me as a great example. very impressive, especially for a first attempt.

the thing i don't like: the moves

one of these moves is just wario's bike. like, 1:1. another is peach's toad but it poisons you. recoveries acting similar to others is more excusable but does not help the unoriginality case. neutral b is poorly explained (throw it? how?) and "scream and stun opponents" has been a trope since hitler in the original lawl. most of these are just things regular spongebob already does.
